Dwyane Wade has decided to stay with the Miami Heat and will take a paycut to do so, according to ESPN.

He announced the decision on Twitter. The deal with the Heat gives Wade $34 million over two years, and it gives him a player option to return for 2015-2016.

Wade's decision gives the Heat a little bit more confidence after LeBron James left last week. The Heat got recent committments from Chris Bosh, Luol Deng and Chris Andersen as well. They also signed Josh McRoberts, Mario Chalmers and Danny Granger.

The Big Three of Wade, James and Bosh was in question throughout the summer and Wade decided to opt-out of the final two years of his six-year, $108 million deal. Just like Bosh though, Wade committed to the Heat.

Wade has been with the Heat for all 11 years of his pro career. He has three NBA titles, 10 All-Star Game selections and was the fifth overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft.

Wade entered the draft after playing two seasons at Marquette University in Milwaukee. During Wade's freshman year at Marquette, he was ruled ineligible to play because of his grades. He regained eligibility in his second year at Marquette.

Wade's 2013-2014 season was hampered by injuries. He played in only 54 regular season games while dealing with knee injuries. He still averaged 19 points on a career-high 55 percent shooting.

Wade took a pay cut to remain with the Heat. The reduction in salary frees up some money for the Heat to use on Bosh and Deng. Bosh's deal was a five-year deal worth about $118 million. Deng signed for two years and $20 million.
