Jason Biggs Malaysia Airlines Tweets: Orange is the New Black Star Apologizes for Offensive Joke
After it was revealed that Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crashed, Jason Biggs made a joke on Twitter.
In a now-deleted tweet, he said, "Anyone wanna buy my Malaysian Airlines frequent flier miles?"
Twitter users immediately criticized him, with some saying it was too soon and that some people didn't even know if it was their family members on the plane yet. The "Orange Is the New Black" actor responded by lashing out, and saying that people didn't need to follow him on Twitter.
He has also deleted these tweets, but New York Daily News reports that he said: "Hey all you 'too soon' a-----s- it's a f-----g joke. You don't have to think it's funny, or even be on my twitter page at all."
Biggs eventually changed his tune, and apologized. In a series of four tweets, he explained that he never meant to offend people and that he knew what happened was a horrible tragedy. He also said the gesture came from him, as no one was forcing him to write the Tweets, and he acknowledged the joke was "ill-timed."

Biggs is no stranger to causing waves on Twitter.
He has made explicit comments about women in the Republican party, and he wrote on Esquire that he thrives off haters on Twitter.
"You know what really gets me off? The hate," he said. "Oh, how I love the hate. Weird? Perhaps. But to me, watching people get riled up over the most trivial things is pure fking gold."
