'Sabado Gigante' Star Luis Coronel Promised This to His Late Father
Luis Coronel is starting to see success, and he is accomplishing what he promised his late father.
The 18-year-old singer appeared on "Sabado Gigante" over the weekend, and he spoke about how he promised his father that if anything happened to him, he would take care of his family. Despite being the youngest, he has lived up to these words.
Coronel's father died three years ago after being run over, and his mother cleaned houses for a living.
He described his mother as being a "very hard worker."
A fan asked the singer how he manages to keep a busy schedule and remain so active on social media. Coronel said that he was truthfully very busy, but that he tried to make time.
"I know there are fans that wait for me to post picture so they can comment on them," he said. "So I try to post the pictures on my accounts."
"Sabado Gigante" host Don Francisco also got Coronel's mother and siblings on the show through a telecast. The mom went on to explain just how proud of him she was.
"We are very proud of you," his mother said. "We love you. I know it's difficult for you to not be here, just as it is difficult for us not to to be with you. I'm very thankful for all you've done. I'm very thankful for you."
He thanked his mother for the "beautiful words" and said he always appreciates everything she says to him.
Even "Nuestra Belleza Latina" host Alejandra Espinoza explained that she admired the young singer. She said that his talent and drive made her admire and respect him.
His song "Tenerte" has been climbing the Latin charts, according to Billboard. His song is also getting a lot of play on the Regional Mexican Airplay. And he proved to have some enthusiastic fans at the recent Premios Juventud awards.
