Battlefield Hardline Beta, Gameplay & Release Date: Video Game's Launch Date Delayed Until 2015
"Battlefield Hardline" was supposed to be released this year, but fans will now have to wait until 2015 to get their hands on the game.
The creators must have understood that, by doing this, many players would be upset, because it released a statement explaining why the delay was happening. At E3, the beta for the game received a lot of comments from players, and the team really took the comments to heart, according to Battlefield blog.
"This feedback also spurred us to start thinking about other possibilities and ways we could push Hardline innovation further and make the game even better," the post said. "The more we thought about these ideas, the more we knew we had to get them into the game you will all be playing. However, there was only one problem. We would need more time. Time that we didn't have if we decided to move forward with launching in just a couple of months."
The post also explains the kinds of things players can expect from "Hardline," such as improving multiplayer experience and making the launch more stable.
The last game in the series, "Battlefield 4," was plagued by server issues that made much of the multiplayer mode highly difficult to use.
"This has been a focus for our team since day one and we're going to be using the extra time to continue to optimize the game for a stable launch. We have learned a lot from Battlefield 4, are continuing to learn from our Community Test Environment and will learn more from another Hardline beta," the post continued. "More time allows us to surface issues that the team can attempt to fix prior to launch."
No date was given for the 2015 launch of the game, though it is expected to be released early in the year.
