The Los Angeles Lakers officially re-signed forward Jordan Hill to a multi-year contract, the team announced in a statement on Wednesday night.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the LA Times reported that Hill, who is coming off the best season of his career, inked a two-year deal worth around $18 million.

Hill, who moved to the Lakers during the latter part of the 2011-12 NBA season, averaged a career-high 9.7 points on 54.9 percent shooting from the field to go along with 7.4 rebounds per game.

In 32 starts last season, the 26-year-old forward, who usually plays as Pau Gasol's backup when the veteran All-Star is healthy, averaged 13.0 points to go along with 8.9 rebounds, shooting 55.2 percent from the field.

"Jordan has been a consistent contributor for us over the last three seasons and we are pleased to keep him in the Lakers family," general manager Mitch Kupchak said in a statement. "Jordan's frontcourt versatility is a benefit to our roster and his on-court work ethic is something we value on our team. We hope he'll continue to work hard and develop as an NBA player."

Hill and the Lakers reportedly agreed to a deal earlier this month, but the official signing was delayed as Los Angeles waited for free-agent guard Nick Young to re-sign with the Lakers.

Young signed a four-year deal worth $21.3 million on Monday, which paved way for Hill's signing using his "Bird Rights" since the 2009 eight overall pick has spent the past three seasons with the Lakers.

Aside from Hill, the Lakers also signed free-agent forward Ed Davis, who played 63 games with the Memphis Grizzlies last season where he averaged 5.7 points and 4.1 rebounds.

According to the LA Times, the 25-year-old forward, the 13th overall pick in the 2010 draft, will earn the minimum salary of around $981,000 in the upcoming season and $1.1 million in the second year of the deal.

"Ed is a versatile, young frontcourt player who, if he continues to work hard, will be a valuable contributor," Kupchak said in a statement. "We look forward to him furthering his development with the Lakers and are excited by what we think he can offer our team."
