On Saturday, "The Vampire Diaries" addressed its characters Damon and Bonnie's emotional "Season 5" finale exit with a bit of humor.

"The Vampire Diaries" shared a funny video with Comic-Con fans that delved into what happened after Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) were "left on The Other Side" during "The Vampire Diaries" finale ending in Season 5, E! News reports.

In the video, Somerhalder and Graham appear as themselves following their dramatic exit into the white light.

"What just happened?" Graham asks as the white light fades to black.

"I have no idea," Somerhalder responds.

"Did we just get written off?" asks Graham.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, Somerhalder responds with a reference to previously getting kicked off of the show, "Lost." "I've been killed off of a TV show before, and this is not how it goes," he teases.

The video continues with Graham and Somerhalder attempting to figure out whether they've been written off of "The Vampire Diaries" or whether they will be granted a spin-off show.

Evidently, E! News reports that fans need not worry as Graham and Somerhalder will in fact be back on "The Vampire Diaries."

"You'll see enough of [Somerhalder and Graham] to make you happy and more as it goes along. They are by no means going to be off the air for six episodes," "The Vampire Diaries" executive producer Julie Plec revealed to E! News. "The mystery is where are they, what happened, are they dead, not dead, and what the hell are they going to do together, those two of all people?"

The Hollywood Reporter also revealed additional spoilers for Season 6 of "The Vampire Diaries."

According to THR, Alaric will return to teaching and may fall in love while Elena puts on a front following the loss of Damon.

"She's not in a happy place, although she has a very interesting, confusing way of dealing with her grief," Nina Dobrev explained to THR.

There will also be a dark and dramatic arc in Jeremy's story while Elena seemingly keeps her cool upon discovering Stefan and Caroline's evolving romance.

Season 6 of "The Vampire Diaries" will premiere on Oct. 2, 2014 on the CW. Will you be watching?
