Jenni Rivera Death Update: Juan Rivera's Daughter Hit by Car, Is Expected to Make Full Recovery
Juan Rivera suffered a terrible blow this weekend.
His daughter, Divine Rivera, was hit by a car. Although it seems she will be fine, Juan asked his followers to pray for his daughter.
"On the way to work, @divinneee_ was run over!!!" he said. "It seems as though everything is fine, but right now they will operate on her. Chain of prayers for my girl please!!!"
In the picture, Divine holds her cell phone, though her eyes are closed as she is prepped for surgery.
Chiquis Rivera took to her Instagram account to also ask people to pray for her cousin.
"Thank God she's okay but please pray for my Tia @brendarivera1004, my tio @juanriveramusic and her siblings cuz I can only imagine how scared they were/are," she said. "I love you cousin!!! #DivineBeeStrong"
At least 19,000 people liked the picture Chiquis shared, and many sent messages to Juan.
He put together a collage of some of the well wishes from supporters. He also added a message thanking them for their kind words.
"Hundreds and hundreds of messages and prayers and good vibes," he said. "Thank you to all for taking the time to think of my daughter!!! She's out of surgery and doing well."
Divine does have a cast on her leg.
This unfortunate event must have had Juan thinking about life because he later posted a message about going through difficult times. He explained that before Jenni Rivera's death, nothing ever happened to their family.
But when one bad thing happens, he said, other seems to be appear.
"I don't know what the result of this will be, but when life hits you hard, you have to know how to respond!" he said. "Life is a war, and these battles are the ones that prepare us to triumph. We appreciate all the people who worry about us."
