If toting an 80-inch touchscreen display and a car full of equipment sounds like a hassle, stop living in the past.

All the TouchPico needs for safe transport is a pocket. And the Android-powered device, which is roughly the same size as a Samsung Galaxy cellphone, can turn any surface into an 80-inch touchscreen display, according to BGR.

The not-so secret lies in an infrared stylus, which has its movements followed by the projector's camera and transferred into actions on the projections.

TouchPico has around three weeks left in its Indiegogo campaign but has already raised $96,000 in pledges, nearly doubling its goal of $55,000.

The device runs Android 4.0 and is Wi-Fi enabled, supports SD cards and HDMI connectivity. The projector itself offers 80 lumens of brightness in the current model. TouchPico makers are rumored to be working on a 400-lumen model, but it's not immediately available.

The TouchPico can work like an Android desktop or tablet but is also able to project content from other devices, like Macs and PCs.

The device will run Android apps and have complete access to the Google Play store, according to Gizmag. TouchPico features a 1.6 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor, 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and 4 GB of internal solid state memory. Users wanting to add to the factory storage can connect a thumb or external drive via USB OTG.

While it's easy to imagine the implications such a device would have on Super Bowl parties and family movie nights, the makers of the TouchPico say their goal is to impact the education industry by "bringing lessons to life."

The cheapest model is available on Indiegogo for $329 but eventually is expected to retail in the neighborhood of $500. The The funding campaign ends on Aug. 26, and if all goes right, the devices will ship toward the end of October.
