Actor James Franco has taken to Instagram to dispel as well as fuel rumors about his love life. On Wednesday, the actor posted a black and white photo of himself with singer Lana Del Ray, captioning it, "Oh snap, we got married. JUST KIDDING!!!"

Franco's Instagram post only added to suspicions that the actor has been dating the "Summertime Sadness" singer since she broke up with Barrie-James O'Neill in June.

Del Ray was seen attending a screening of "Child of God," a new film in which Franco both acted and directed, on July 30 in New York.

Other pictures of the two celebs together were also posted to Franco's account in recent weeks. On July 19, he posted a photo of the two walking down the beach with Del Ray's arms wrapped around him. The text with the image quoted one of Del Ray's songs, saying "Down on the West Coast, they got a sayin..."

Franco also used the social media site to promote her career. After posting a shot of Del Ray's cover on Rolling Stone, he wrote "OBSESSED with the RIDE video!"

While still acting in the Broadway production "Of Mice and Men," Franco shared a backstage picture with the singer, adding "LANA DEL RAY and CHICKEN came to the show AND LOVED! Of Mice and Men, baby!"

The latest photo uploaded Wednesday was posted the same day that Franco took to Instagram to call out Gawker for picking up on a story from The New York Times that the "This Is the End" actor was having a sexual relationship with friend and co-star Scott Haze.

"But theirs is the kind of relationship -- somewhat ambiguous, seemingly gay, probably romantic -- that almost always sends The New York Times into a bizarre moral panic," the article read.

As both a rebuttal and a plug, Franco posted a screenshot of the article, writing "GAWKER - always getting the cutting edge, homophobic scoop!!! Go see CHILD OF GOD in theaters and see me direct with my live-in boyfriend, SCOTT HAZE!!! Love you SCOTT!!!!"
