The National Basketball Association released the full 2014-15 season scheduled on Wednesday, featuring games that are expected to become blockbusters because of the storyline and players involved in the matches.

The defending champions San Antonio Spurs will get their rings in the season opener on Oct. 28 against the Dallas Mavericks, which will be followed by Kobe Bryant's return as the Los Angeles Lakers take on Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets.

The league scheduled 12 games on Oct. 29, featuring the game between the Chicago Bulls and the New York Knicks, along with the Western Conference matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Portland Trail Blazers.

And on Oct. 30, LeBron James will play his first game in a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform since announcing his decision to return home this summer as they host Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks at the Quicken Loans Arena.

The Cavaliers will then fly to Chicago to face the Bulls the next night where superstar Derrick Rose is expected to make his home debut -- his first game since sustaining a torn meniscus in his right knee last season.

The league also scheduled five games on Christmas Day -- Washington Wizards vs. Knicks, Thunder vs. Spurs, Cavaliers vs. Miami Heat, Lakers vs. Bulls, and Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Clippers.

The Christmas Day game between the Cavaliers and the Heat will be James' first game against his former team in Miami where he spent the past four seasons and won his first two NBA championships.

The Cavaliers, Bulls and Thunder were all smiles after the league revealed next season's schedule as all three teams will have 25 national television appearances. Chicago and Cleveland will 10 games on ESPN, 10 on TNT and five on ABC. The Thunder will have 10 games on ESPN, nine on TNT and six on ABC.

Interestingly, NBA commissioner Adam Silver also gave into players' request to have a longer All-Star break as teams will have at least eight days of break around the All-Star Weekend in February.
