Khloe Kardashian and French Montana: Montana Uses Kardashian Fame to Reach the Top
Could new boyfriend French Montana be exploiting Khloe Kardashian's fame? The rapper tells two conflicting stories to two different sites.
Despite the fact that Khloe and Lamar Odom are still married, she has begun seeing another man, following the couple's separation because of Odom's crack addiction. However, the New York Daily News' Confidenti@l blog reports that her new beau, rapper French Montana, may come with similar skeletons in his closet.
Montana has been known to be part of a group called "The Coke Boys," who brag about dealing cocaine; however, he reassures fans that it is simply part of his image, according to Confidenti@l.
"It's a funny predicament situation," Montana said to the blog. "So if you're on the outside looking in, of course you're going to be [confused]."
However, he added that, "With me, it's just my label -- it's just part of my music," adding, "I'm not an addict or nothing."
Despite this news, Kardashian was featured in the art of Montana's new single "Don't Panic" and he will appear in the upcoming "Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons." However, Confidenti@l adds that some suspect Montana is just using the family's fame to elevate his own star.
"Honestly, we never even think about it," he said. "Obviously hers is a bigger fan base because they've been on for about 10 years and this is the biggest show ever," he said. "But I don't pay attention to that kind of stuff."
Yet, in a recent Billboard interview, Montana did say that he would exploit the family's popularity to help advance his musical career.
"I want to capitalize on it," Montana told Billboard. "I'll get a fan base from everywhere. I just hope I'll be able to connect with everything that's going on."
When hearing about this, Khloe simply shrugged, dismissing her boyfriend's willingness to use her fame, according to Us Magazine.
"It's amusing to me that Y'all think I don't see it. I was the first one to see it. I just don't care," the reality TV star tweeted on Sunday.
Regardless, Montana has made into the Kardashian inner circle. According to Hollywood Life, he will appear on Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and finally meet Kim.
