On Saturday Aug. 16, Christina Aguilera and her fiancé Matt Rutler welcomed their baby girl, Summer Rain Rutler, into the world.

This is the first child for the happy couple and second child for Aguilera, who already has a son, Max, 6, from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman, People reports.

Following the birth of their daughter, Aguilera took to Twitter to announce the birth and relish in the excitement.

She tweeted, "So proud to welcome our beautiful daughter Summer Rain Rutler into the world."

"The Voice" coach's tweet was then met with several "congratulations" responses from her fans. Aguilera first announced her pregnancy with her second child back in February. The 33 year-old singer's pregnancy announcement came just a week after her engagement announcement to "Burlesque" film producer Matt Rutler, whom she dated for three years after meeting him on the set of "Burlesque," according to People.

"I'm really excited to meet our baby girl," Aguilera told People back in March. "This has been a very easy and enjoyable pregnancy," she continued. Though the now mother of two kept a low profile during her pregnancy, she did grace the cover of V Magazine where she appeared nude and flaunting her baby bump. "As a woman, I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store," Aguilera told V Magazine.

So what's next for Aguilera now that she's given birth? Well, according to Us Weekly, the songstress tweeted back in April that she has an album and new music on the way.

"So blissful in taking this time for creating all things blossoming new on the horizon...album, baby & beautiful music to come," she tweeted in April.

Prior to her baby's birth announcement, Aguilera tweeted a photo of herself in the studio sporting headphones on her pregnant belly. The photo's caption read, "Baby girl getting first listen to what mama's been creating in the studio."
