Wii U gamers can't seem to wait for the release of Smash Bros. for the Wii U. The game, which has a "TBA" date for its release has already won an award. It was announced over 1,000 days ago, but no confirmed date for its release has been provided.

Even though the game isn't out, plenty of people are excited for it. In fact, it won an award for being the "Most Wanted Game" at the 2014 GamesCom expo in Germany.

Super Smash Bros. is rumored to be released in November, and there's already a reported leak of its exact release date. U.K. retailer HMK displayed the release on their website as Nov. 28. Nintendo and HMK failed to respond to the accidental posting of the release date, so it does make it sound believable.

WiiU Daily thinks that when the game is finally released, Wii U game sales will see a big spike like it did when Mario Kart 8 was released, and perhaps even a bigger spike.

Mario Kart Stays in the Top Ten

Last month, a Wii U game remained in the top 10 for game sales. Mario Kart 8's excellent performance has increased sales of Wii U hardware and it continues to sell well even though the game has been out since May. It came in at fifth for the best-selling game across all the platforms.

Nintendo has confirmed that the game has surpassed the million mark for sales.

If it keeps selling this well, Wii U could have a game on the top ten all the way through the holiday season, which is better than expected for the console.

Right below Mario Kart 8 on that same top 10 list was Call of Duty: Ghosts. This version of Call of Duty has been available for quite some time for every platform, but it still made the list and people are still buying it.
