While many people have given the "Ice Bucket Challenge" their own flair, James Franco decided to take it one step further.

Franco, who was nominated by Selena Gomez, completed the challenge while going pantless.

The actor starts off by thanking Gomez for challenging him, and in the middle of talking, he starts getting ice water thrown on him. It isn't until after he is wet that the camera pans out to reveal that Franco is not wearing any bottoms and only wearing a shirt that reads Moby Dick. Instead, he holds up a yellow paper to cover himself. There are words written on him, but between his dancing and the paper getting wet, it is hard to make up the words.

It's even difficult to understand what Franco is saying, but his caption offered a bit more clarity.

"#ICEBUCKETCHALLENGE!!!! Thank you@selenagomez for nominating me!!!!" he said. "I nominate:@zackbraff @joeyking @keeganallen You have 24 hours!!"

Franco is just one of many participating in the challenge to raise awareness for ALS. The campaign has really impacted how much money the ALS Association has raised, helping the association get to $15.6 million, according to Forbes.

To those who don't participate in the challenge, they have to donate $100 to the association. But some people end up doing both the challenge and donating money.

Before posting his challenge, Franco teased that it was coming with a picture of Vanilla Ice.

At the time, he said, "ICE BUCKET SHIZZ - coming soon! ICE ICE, BABY!"

And before that, he posted a picture of his head superimposed onto Nicki Minaj's body, where he also told his followers that the challenge video was coming. The image also featured a tattoo that said Seth on the arm.
