Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly planning to move Angel Di Maria, but the Argentina international doesn't want to leave the club anytime soon.

Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos said in a recent interview that while he has not spoke directly to Di Maria about his plans, he is convinced that the star midfielder wants to stay at Bernabeu despite receiving strong interest from several top tier clubs.

"I am not one to recommend what to do, we live in a democratic country," Ramos said via ESPN FC. "Di Maria knows what it is like abroad, and what it is like being at Madrid. I do not believe 'El Fideo' intends to leave. I would sign for him to stay here all his life."

Perez is reportedly shopping Di Maria after making big moves this summer, spending 80 million Euros in acquiring James Rodriguez alone. The Colombian striker is reportedly the reason why the club is planning to move Di Maria, but Rodriguez said that he sees no problem playing alongside the Rosario, Argentina native.

"Of course we are compatible," said Rodriguez, who scored his first goal as a Real Madrid player in their 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday. "That there are great players is always good, and he is a great player."

Sources indicated that Paris Saint-Germain is the most likely landing spot for Di Maria, but the club is reportedly not willing to give into Real Madrid's asking price, which is reportedly set at 75 million Euros.

With PSG currently out the picture, Manchester United is reportedly the frontrunner in the race to acquire the veteran midfielder, and the club is reportedly willing to spend in the hope of turning their fortunes around in their first season under new coach Louis Van Gaal.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted for the entire summer that Di Maria will remain a vital part of the club, but he conceded before Tuesday's game that he is unsure whether or not the Argentine will still be with the club when the transfer window closes on Sept. 1.

"I know that he's training and that he could help us," Ancelotti said of Di Maria, who scored 12 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid last season. "Until August 31 it will continue the same way and after that everything will be cleared up and things will return to normal."
