Katy Perry New Album 2013 Release Date and Tracklist: 'ROAR' Music Video Released; Go Behind the Scenes [VIDEO]
Katy Perry has finally released the video of her newest single "ROAR" of her latest studio album coming this October.
The jungle-themed music video was released yesterday, with Katy donning a Jane of the Jungle look as she survives in the wilderness.
The video starts with Katy and her boyfriend (think its Russel Brand?) finds themselves in a plane crash at the heart of the jungle. Mr. Boyfriend was portrayed as a vain and conceited guy, taking selfies in the middle of the crash. Serving him well, the guy was eaten by a tiger.
Just in time for the chorus, Katy finds her inner tiger and learns how to survive in the jungle with monkeys, elephants and crocodiles.
An anthem of self-empowerment, Katy swings on vines and at one time, even shows her toned biceps. She also changes from her plane crash clothing, to leopard print bikini top and a skirt made out of flowers and leaves - of course, highlighting her sexy figure.

In a Nokia Exclusive behind-the-scenes clip, Katy shares how she managed to work with the animals in the video.
"We are shooting some scenes with some very well-trained, very well-mannered animals," she noted in the video. "One monkey is named Ripley, believe it or not."
She also described the video as "kinda like Survivor and a little bit like Lost."
The release of the music video follows Katy's zoom to no. 1 at the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The singer dethroned Robin Thicke's 12-week reign of the charts with his song "Blurred Lines."
According to Billboard, "ROAR" leads digital songs sales with 448,000 downloads for three weeks, in the week ending Sept. 1.
The new song will be Perry's eighth Hot 100 no. 1, with "I Kissed a Girl" as her first. She now joins the list of women who have the most no.1s in the chart's history.
