After being the suject of numerous dating rumors recently, Ariana Grande and Big Sean confirmed their romantic relationship at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Grande undoubtedly stole the show Sunday night with her opening performance of "Break Free" and "Bang Bang." After the show, the 21-year-old pop star showed off some PDA with her 26-year-old frequent collaborator backstage, as they were caught on camera holding each other's hand.

According to Hollywood Life, the "Problem" hitmaker explained how she was going to celebrate the VMAs and her new sophomore studio album release in a group interview, and many believed that she was going to spend time with Big Sean.

"I'm going to celebrate," she said. "My label is having a party so I'm going to stop by there and sort of say hi to everybody and then go home and have some fun at my house. Keep it chill."

The "Best Mistake" duo's latest public affection was quite expected, as a source recently claimed that they are actually dating. "They have been friends since they made the song together," the source told E! News. "They have been spending more time together and recently have been getting very close. They are both doing great."

Moreover, Ariana Grande and Big Sean went on a movie date to see "The Purge" at The Grove in Los Angeles earlier this month. An eyewitness claimed that they came in about a quarter way into the film, and he saw them kissing during the film. The eyewitness added that the couple then left before the movie was over.
