WWE Raw Results, Spoilers for August 25, 2014: John Cena Returns With New Attitude
WWE Monday Night Raw kicked off with a WWE Hall of Fame panel of Shawn Michaels, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan analyzing John Cena's chances against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions. Michaels and Flair believed that the beating Cena took -- including 16 German Suplexes -- was enough to break any man, including Cena. Cena came out to the ring and guaranteed to the Hall of Famers that he would take the fight to Lesnar, despite their doubts, and would come out champion next time he faces "The Beast Incarnate."

Swagger, still hurting from his Flag match against Rusev at SummerSlam, fought hard managing to get the European strongman in the Patriot Lock on three occasions throughout the bout but it was not enough, as Rusev stomped on Swagger's injured rib cage, forcing the referee to stop the fight, awarding the win to Rusev.
