One Direction Tours, Songs and News Update 2014: Niall Horan Talks Split Rumors, Band's Future
Amidst rumors that One Direction will split and pursue solo careers after releasing at least two more albums, Niall Horan addresses the recent speculations and discusses the band's future.
The "Midnight Memories" hitmakers' mentor Simon Cowell previously told Daily Star, "Bands don't stay together forever. I think they will make at least two more albums together, and they are in the middle of one right now."
Horan insisted that Cowell was misquoted, as the British boyband has no intention of breaking up. "[Simon Cowell] was clearly misquoted or something," he told Irish Sun. "We're going to go as long as we can go, as long as people want us we will be here. None of that rumors business."
Moreover, 1D going their separate ways is something the 20-year-old singer has never really thought about. "I don't want to think about that at the minute. I'm still here, still with the band," he said. "I don't need to think about it at all -- I'm having a great time here, touring and having the craic with the lads -- we are all still having a great time."
Horan then discussed what One Direction is currently working on.
"We've got another album at the end of the year and doing our business as we do on a kind of yearly basis," he said. "I'm not thinking of what I have to do after just yet."
Niall Horan also took to his Twitter account on Monday to let his fans know what the band is up to:
Love this time of year, decisions . Album artwork, album title, music video ideas ! can't wait for you guys to hear and see what we're doing

Harry Styles also shut down speculation of him leaving the band and insisted that he will be part of 1D unless he is forced to drop out.
"I'm 100 percent in this band," he told BBC's "Top of the Pops." "I still want to be touring with One Direction in 10 years. I'll be doing it until I'm old, and people are telling me to stop."
