Ariana Grande & Big Sean Relationship Rumors 2014: Rapper Congratulates Grande on Instagram
After being caught holding hands backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards, singer Ariana Grande and rapper Big Sean are publicly acknowledging each other, basically confirming rumors about their relationship, according to Global Grind.
Soon after the awards program, Grande's new album "My Everything" was released.
"Ari's #1 in 80 countries! So great when good things happen to good people. I'm more than proud of you," wrote Sean with a photo of the album cover on Instagram, according to The Hollywood Gossip.
Sean and Grande have worked together on her single "Best Mistake," which is still unreleased, and he is also supposed to be the whispering voice in the song "Problem."
"They have been friends since they made the song together," a source told E! News. "They have been spending more time together and recently have been getting very close."
While neither have verbally confirmed nor denied the relationship, Grande hinted at a confirmation on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.
"I'll tell you when we're not on the air. I trust you. I've known you a long time. I don't know about these millions of people listening in right now," she said, according to Global Grind.
Grande, a former Nickelodeon star, released her first album last year, and in the 12 months has gained a lot of fame, according to Billboard.
When asked by Seacrest about the transition, which isn't always an easy one, from TV to music, Grande replied that she has been focused on it, and hopes everyone else focuses on it too.
"I don't really know. I mean, I've just been so focused on music. I really feel like focusing on the music and really, like, letting the music tell my story, and introducing myself with music, and letting that be the statement sort of was it, I guess. I wanted people to be talking about the music not anything else," Grande said.
