Eminem New Album 2013 News Update: Rapper Excited about 'Nothing' for Record tells ESPN [VIDEO]
Eminem made an unusual appearance at Saturday night's football halftime show and it was all so awkward.
Marshall Mathers made a surprise appearance at last night's ESPN coverage of the college football match between Michigan and Notre Dame. During the halftime show, Eminem joined Kerk Herbstreit and Brent Musburger at their booth to promote his upcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. However, the following scenes were awkward not only for Kerk, Brent and the rapper, but also for the audience watching at home.
Starting the interview that was aired live on TV, Slim Shady stared blankly while swiveling himself from left to right in a slow -mo manner. Almost oblivious of the interview going on, he stared with his mouth open for a good 20 seconds before he got a hold of himself. He then told Brent that he was "sorry," because "live TV freaks me out a little bit" to which both hosts laugh to.
Herbstreit also asked Eminem what he is most excited about with his new record. Eminem answers with a quick "nothing" in his iconic blank face, but then adds "no, it will be out November 5th, and I'll probably be most excited just to be done with it." The rapper, however, noted that the new album is sort of "revisiting the first Marshall Mathers LP."
Eminem, who is a self-confessed "die-hard Lions fan, to the core" also gave his two cents on the match between the Detroit Lions against the Minnesota Vikings. In his most energetic answer in the entire interview, the Grammy Award-winning rapper says "I don't ever make a prediction on the Lions 'cause I don't ever wanna jinx it...but, yes they'll win."
Eminem then went on a monologue about his "fantasy announcer team" which includes Musburger, even calling him a "legend." Reciprocating the praises, Brent tells Eminem that he is the true legend to which the rapper says "I'm really uncomfortable right now."
The rapper may very well be one of the bests in the industry, but Eminem sure isn't very good with live interviews.
