After days on the run and a series of tweets ridiculing the police, wanted Joe Budden finally turned himself in on Wednesday morning.

The "Pump It Up" hitmaker allegedly choked his girlfriend and took her cellphone on Aug. 18 after seeing photos of her with other men. He first found her at a New York City restaurant, dragged her out into his car and brutally beat her. He then drove to his New Jersey home, where the beating continued.

However, Budden denied the reported violent assault, tweeting:

When his mug shot was released, the "Love & Hip Hop" star mocked and challenged the police to arrest him.

Joe Budden then showed up at the 34th precinct in Inwood at 9 a.m. with his attorney Nima Ameri, who told TMZ that the "She Don't Put It Down" rapper "looks forward to an opportunity to responsibly deal with and address the allegations so he may establish the actual facts" and is cooperating with the investigation, and the facts will "demonstrate the truth of Mr. Budden's involvement and the real events that transpired."

The possibility of him facing charges of robbery and grand larceny did not stop Joe Budden from his social media rant, as he continued to tweet while he was in custody:
