MacBook Air at Apple September 2013 Launch Event - Live Stream & Details: MacBook Pro and iMac May Be Revealed
Apple is working double time in releasing new and updated devices to the market. Aside from rumored two new iPhones, the tech giant is also expected to reveal new laptop and desktop computers at its upcoming keynote event later today.
In an effort to take control of the market (again), the Cupertino, Ca.-based company is expected to release new smartphones at the event: the new budget iPhone 5C and the successor to the current iPhone, iPhone 5S. Just as well, many are also talking about a possible release of new MacBooks and iMacs.
It is rumored that the company will be releasing an updated version of Apple's current line of MacBook Pro; however, no confirmation has been made. According to Stabley Times, the reason for Apple's silence about the laptop update may be due to the Pro's continuous strong sales amid talks of an upcoming refreshed version. "[This] prompted Apple to keeps its mouth shut about the new MacBook Pro until it's ready to ship," wrote the site.
Notably, earlier in June, the company revealed its new MacBook Air at a keynote event at WWDC - much like what will happen today. The new MacBook Air comes in two versions: an 11-inch and 13-inch screen, and also comes in several storage sizes. The ultra-thin laptop has had good sales so far, and if the new MacBook Pro and iMacs be revealed today, they will be joining the MacBook Air in the list of faster processing computers.
The MacBooko Air has been packed with an Intel Core "Haswell" processor, and according to Christian Today, the MacBook Pro is also expected to be released with the same fourth-gen processor. The report also noted that the computers will also most likely be installed with Mac's latest operating system, the OS X Mavericks.
The Apple launch and keynote event will happen today (Sept. 10) at Apple's headquarters in California. The event will likely be live stream, so visit Apple's events page here.
