A misunderstanding almost had Ana confessing her secret life to Fernando, but things between the two aren't exactly better. Fernando's wedding is moving forward, and Ana could feel her heart breaking after coming across the invitations. (Catch up on episodes 31-35 here.)

Here's what you can expect from episodes 36-40.

Episode 36: Ana is happy to know that Fernando loved her, but she said that he made his decision. On the day of the wedding, Isabela is nervous and begins drinking with Yolanda. Isabela finds out that Ana and Fernando are locked in a room together, so she yells at the driver to take her to the Lascurain home. The two are let out before Isabela arrives, and wedding guests are left waiting for Isabela's arrival.

Isabela has arrived at Ana's room to yell at her. Isabela slaps her, which makes Ana feel humiliated. But Ana tells Isabela that Fernando doesn't love her and is only marrying her because Isabela is pregnant. Ana tries to stop the wedding, but is stopped by Diego. When Fernando is asked if he will marry Isabela, he remains quiet.

Episode 37: Fernando does marry Isabela, which makes Ana sad. The children are also not happy about it. While getting ready for her honeymoon, Isabela shows Yolanda her lingerie. Yolanda responds by telling her that she looks fat. Fernando goes on his honeymoon, but he's sad to have left Ana behind. Though Ana has sprained her ankle, she wants to dance at Chicago, where Nicolas ends up spotting her.

Episode 38: Ana tells Nicolas her secret, but he takes it well. Fanny is sad that Leon is lying to her, but she doesn't know what to do about it. Leon tells Tamara that he can't forgive her for having taking his son away for such a long time. Leon confesses to Beatriz that Tamara is his wife.

Episode 39: Ana has a talk with Nando, where she helps him realize how much he cares for Ximena. Luz tells Ana that she is like her new mom and that she never wants her to leave. And Ana replies that she would never leave her, and that she is like the daughter she always wanted.

Diego confesses being in love with Ana, and she tells him that she is still hurt from Fernando's wedding. He tells her that he's willing to wait until she is ready. Ana tells Fanny that she does have feelings for Diego, who is eavesdropping and finds out about her true feelings.

Episode 40: Fanny encourages Ana to give it a try with Diego. Isabela asks Ana for help organizing her closet, but Isabela makes it difficult for her. She throws items on the floor for Ana to pick up and she ends up stepping on her hand. Isabela tells Ana that she has won because she married Fernando.
