When there were whispers of a relationship forming, Eiza Gonzalez quickly shut them down.

Now, the actress has taken to Instagram to confirm that she is dating D.J. Cotrona.

"This guy has been with me in the best and worst, and has helped me go through everything with a huge smile on my face," she said when she shared a picture of Cotrona. "Thank God for bringing you into my life! I couldn't be more lucky to have such a beautiful inside out person as my life partner! I love you my love! @cotrona23."

Gonzalez has proved to be true to her word.

In late June -- when she denied dating Cotrona -- she said that she would "happily share" the news when the time again.

Unprompted, the actress confirmed the news on Sept. 2.

The rumors first started after Eiza posted a few images of him onto her Instagram account. The actress had just welcomed her "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" co-star onto the social media platform.

Gonzalez had hinted at a relationship the day before when she posted a picture of the two together in a car.

The picture, which was taken on Labor Day, features Gonzalez without makeup.

On her Instagram account, she shared a picture of herself at the beach the same day, which she presumably went to with Cotrona because her hair looks wet in the image that features the two of them.

Gonzalez was recently the topic of an article that talked about Hollywood's obsession with weight, and more specifically, cellulite.

A writer explained that Gonzalez, who has made the jump from telenovelas to Hollywood, has been more talked about because of what she looks like than what she has been able to accomplish.

On top of being Santanico Pandemonium in "From Dusk Till Dawn," she will also have a part in "All Hail the Squash Blossom Queen," which will be released in 2015.
