IFA 2014 Berlin Dates: Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Sony Lead Exhibitors While Apple Holds Cupertino Release for iPhone 6, iWatch
IFA 2014 in Berlin is about to start. The fair kicks off on Sept. 5 and will last until Sept. 10.
It promises to be another huge, gadget-filled event, with plenty of devices being showcased, introduced and launched.
About 1,200 exhibitors from 32 countries around the world will be presenting a wide array of consumer electronics at this year's fair.
Top international and local manufacturers are expected to outdo each other at IFA. Some of the exhibitors include Vestel, Toshiba, Sony, Sharp, Samsung, Pioneer, Philips, Panasonic, Olympus, Metz, Loewe, LG, Hitachi, Harman International, Hama, JVC, Grundig, Fujitsu Siemens, Deutsche Telekom AG, Epson, Daewoo, Canon, Beko and Astra. Apple will not be present at the IFA. It will have its own show in Cupertino, California after the IFA. It is expected that two new iPhones and maybe an iWatch will be launched at that event.
Visitors can expect to see plenty of tablets, phablets, smartphones, wearable gadgets, larger televisions with ultra-high definition 4K and OLED screens and several smart home appliances that can "talk" to each other.
According to iDigitalTimes, hype has been building for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Samsung's event will be on Sept. 3, when people are expecting the company's Galaxy Note 4 will be unboxed. The event will run simultaneously with shows in Beijing and New York.
LG beat Samsung to the punch by pre-announcing its own LG G3 Stylus Smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is also expected to have a stylus pen. But there will be a big difference, as experts say the Galaxy Note 4 is a monster.
The Galaxy Note 4 will have a 16MP OIS camera, a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.6 GHz with an Adreno 420 GPU and 4 GB of RAM. It has a 5.7-inch QHD 2560 x 1440 SAMOLED display with 515ppi. It will become the most powerful smartphone in the market when it launches and experts are predicting that buyers will not have any problem with the device even if they continue to use it until 2017. They say that it is more powerful than some computers and will have great graphic capabilities thanks to its Snapdragon 805 processor. Samsung Galaxy Alpha will also be shown at the event.
