Eva Longoria Slams Apple Employees for Invading Her Privacy Amid iCloud Naked Pic Scandal
Though Eva Longoria was not among the many celebrities whose nude photos were leaked online last weekend due to an alleged Apple iCloud hack, the actress/producer chose to weigh on the current celebrity nude photo scandal by recalling her own personal experience with Apple compromising her privacy. During a recent interview with Access Hollywood that will air on Wednesday night, the 39-year-old actress recalled the time a San Antonio Apple store employee broke into her Mac email.
"I've had a lot of problems of people breaking into my email," she said. "My Mac email ... not hacked, just go get it from the stores and I had a big problem with that."
Longoria then continued her story by sharing what she claims an Apple employee said to her after they obtained her personal contact information.
'Yeah. "I made a dress I want to send it to you, I work at the Apple Store here in San Antonio," Longoria says mimicking the Apple employee. 'And I'm like, what? Did someone give out my email? Or my phone! ' " There are a lot of privacy issues.'
Longoria's Apple rant comes on the heels of the recent Labor Day weekend massive celebrity nude photo leak that was allegedly caused by a hack in Apple's iCloud system, BuzzFeed reports.
However, on Tuesday, Apple dispelled the Apple iCloud hack rumors and released a statement claiming that it detected no hacks or breaches in it's Apple iCloud system.
"After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the internet. None of the cases we have investigated have resulted from any breach in any of Apple's systems, including iCloud or Find My iPhone. We are continuing to work with law enforcement to help identify the criminals involved," reads the official Apple release statement obtained by BuzzFeed.
The celebrities targeted in the massive leak include Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Ariana Grande, Victoria Justice, and many others.
