On Wednesday, Melissa Rivers issued a statement with an update on her mother, Joan Rivers' current medical condition.

"My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable," the statement obtained by FOX news read. "Thank you for your continued support."

Though her mother is no longer in intensive care, Melissa Rivers announced on Tuesday that Joan Rivers remains on life support. E! News also issued a statement on Tuesday regarding its decision to postpone taping of "Fashion Police" until Joan Rivers' recovery.

"We will not be producing a 'Fashion Police' this week or next as we await Joan and Melissa's return in front and behind the camera," the E! News statement reads. "E! will be airing two 'E! From Fashion Week' specials that will deliver the latest news and information from the highly-anticipated event."

Joan Rivers was first rushed to NYC's Mount Sinai hospital when she stopped breathing following an outpatient medical procedure on her vocal chords on Thursday, Aug. 28, Us Weekly reports.

Since then, Joan remains in critical condition at the hospital.

In addition to updating the public on her mother's medical condition, Melissa Rivers has also thanked fans for their overwhelming support of Melissa and Joan through this difficult time.

"On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received. At this time, she does remain on life support," Melissa said in the statement obtained by Us Weekly.

She added: "I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness, and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers."

CBS News reports a day prior to falling ill, Joan Rivers appeared as a speaker at a Time Inc. event in New York. Spectators told CBS that Joan appeared fine at the event.
