Beyoncé Knowles has been in the news a lot lately. Now she and her family are once again the focus of the limelight, as Bey celebrated her 33rd birthday on Sept. 4.

She is celebrating her birthday with her husband Jay-Z and their daughter Blue Ivy in the south of France.

According to E! Online, the singer and her family were spotted arriving on a private jet in Corsica and they were seen arriving at the Bastia-Poretta airport. Apparently Jay-Z was feeling generous that day and tipped the flight stewardess 500 euros.

The couple has reportedly rented a luxury yacht at a cost of $800,000 a week and will be staying on the peaceful island.

While Beyoncé and her family are enjoying her birthday in private, fans of hers are celebrating her birthday as well.

On Twitter, her fans are trending #HappyBirthdayBeyonce and #BeyDay. There's no doubt that she is an incredible woman and a music phenomenon, and one would be hard-pressed to find another performer who can have such a showing at the Video Music Awards and get everyone to almost forget the awards and just talk about her performance alone.

2014 was a big year for Beyoncé. She received the Video Vanguard Award this year from MTV's Video Music Awards. Her 15-minute medley of her songs from her BEYONCÉ visual album became the talk of the town.

The release of her album was a big surprise as it was not accompanied by a big promotion and rollout. She also had the "On the Run" tour with her husband Jay-Z after completing her highly successful "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour". 

Despite the many rumors that dogged her, including rumors of separation or divorce, she's come out on top. She also landed on the cover of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People Issue last April.
