'The Bachelor' Juan Pablo Galavis: Nikki Ferrell and I 'Would Have Killed Each Other' Without VH1's 'Couples Therapy'
Juan Pablo Galavis and "The Bachelor" winner Nikki Ferrell are not done with reality television yet.
At first, the former star of ABC's "The Bachelor" wanted to appear on another show on the network, "Dancing With the Stars." Apparently, things did not work out, however.
"I never say this before, but yeah, I was going to do it," he said in an interview with "Extra" on Wednesday.
Galavis will get his TV time, however, as he is a member of Season 5 of VH1's "Couples Therapy." He will appear on the show with Nikki Ferrell, who won the final rose in Galavis' season of "The Bachelor."
"If we were dating already, why not take the chance and get some therapy and see an expert?" he said.
According to Galavis, if it wasn't for the show, he and Ferrell "probably would have killed each other two weeks later."
On the show, Galavis and Ferrell worked on their communication skills, "Extra" reports. They also talked about how to speak to Nikki, Galavis' 5-year-old daughter, about the relationship. In addition, the couple was advised on how to deal with their long distance relationship as Galavis is based in Miami, and Ferrell lives in Kansas City.
"It's part of the process ... part of the things I thought we were okay, but they were not okay with her," Galavis said.
In a preview clip from "Couples Therapy," Galavis said that he is not sure if Ferrell is "the one."
"Is she the one or not? That's a great question," he said. "I think she's on the right track. Everything she does that I don't like, I'm like, 'Is this gonna work?' It's just a process, but I think we could communicate better. That's one of the reasons why we're here."
"Couples Therapy" premieres on VH1 on Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. ET.
