George Zimmerman's lawyer, Mark O'Mara, has announced that he will no longer represent his client just a day after a domestic dispute at George and Shellie Zimmerman's household.

Monday's domestic dispute could result in charges against George or Shellie but authorities are still investigating the situation. Shellie claimed that George was armed with a gun, but police never found a gun after a search.

Lake Mary police say that George got in an altercation with Shellie's father, which prompted Shellie to start recording video footage of the action on her iPad. The iPad was eventually shattered into pieces but forensic analysts are trying to review the footage to investigate the events that unfolded Monday afternoon.

Although nobody pressed charges, Florida law still allows authorities to charge people after the fact.

"It's either going to be George or Shellie who will be prosecuted if anybody is going to be prosecuted," Lake Mary police spokesperson Zach Hudson said.

Although O'Mara will not be representing Zimmerman in any future legal cases, he will still represent him in the pending defamation suit they have filed against NBC.

The dispute comes amid rising tensions between the estranged couple. Shellie just recently filed for divorce and she has been outspoken about her marital issues and her displeasure with the way her infamous husband has been acting ever since he was acquitted in the murder of Trayvon Martin.

Shellie said to ABC that George has been acting "invincible" and "selfish" after he went from facing a possible life sentence to being cleared of all charges.

"I think I'm realizing that I have been married to a person for almost seven years, and I don't think that I ever really knew him at all," she said to ABC last week.
