Britney Spears recently broke up with boyfriend David Lucado because he reportedly cheated on her with a "hardcore porn star."

The pop star took to her Twitter account to announce her new relationship status on Aug. 28:

"She is heartbroken," a source revealed to E! News. "But she will get through it. She's a strong girl and he was never right for her."

According to TMZ, Lucado cheated on the "Womanizer" hitmaker with Cali Lee, who is a well-known porn star that has worked with Ron Jeremy. The 5-foot-tall, 96-pound Latina starred in several adult films, including "Bitty Boobies," "Fresh Outta High School 14" and "8th Street Latinas Vol. 20."

The pair reportedly met at a bar near Spears' Thousand Oaks home, and a video footage of them kissing and cuddling surfaced. As a result, the "Work B*tch" singer's father Jamie Spears secretly spent "a substantial amount of money" to prevent it from being leaked publicly.

Spears also opened up about her breakup live on stage during her Las Vegas "Piece of Me" show on Aug. 31. "Well, by now everyone knows my boyfriend cheated on me," she told the crowd. "But the best part of breaking up is going on first dates."

She added, "OMG, OMG, I need a hot guy. Where are the hot guys here tonight?"

Britney Spears' breakup seemingly inspired her to head back into the studio to focus working on her ninth studio album. She shared an Instagram photo of her smiling while recording a new track. "Studio today, yay!" she wrote the following caption.
