Assault charges against Justin Bieber for an incident, in which he and a group of his friends allegedly attacked a limo driver late last year in Toronto, were dropped on Monday.

Bieber's attorney Brian Greenspan said in a statement to ABC: "On January 29, 2014, Justin Bieber was charged with assault in relation to an incident in Toronto that had allegedly occurred on December 29, 2013. Today we appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto at which time that charge was withdrawn at the request of the Crown."

"We welcome the decision of the office of the Crown Attorney to withdraw the charge, having reached the conclusion that there was no reasonable prospect of conviction," he continued. "We have always maintained Mr. Bieber's innocence. The withdrawl of the charge is the product of a thorough and thoughtful review of the evidence by responsible prosecutors. We thank them for their consideration."

However, the "Baby" hitmaker has another legal issue to deal with, as he was recently arrested on Aug. 29 after his ATV collided with a paparazzi's vehicle. Greenspan is his attorney once again for this case and said at the time of his arrest:

"Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez' peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of the paparazzi. This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault ... We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved."

According to HollywoodLife.com, the Canadian pop star's on-again girlfriend Selena Gomez is supportive of him. "Selena is used to Justin getting upset with the paps," a source said. "She actually tried to calm him down and told him it wasn't a big deal."

"And it's not a big deal to her," the source added. "It didn't ruin her trip. Justin was successful in making it an unforgettable experience for her and it definitely brought them even closer together."

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber is currently going through a makeover, presumably to impress his one and only lover. He took to his Instagram account to post an image and a couple of footages taken during his workout at the gym.

He also got a fresh haircut.
