Real Housewives of Atlanta Cast News 2014: 'RHOA' Star Apollo Nida Finally Turns In After Skipping Jail
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Apollo Nida finally reported to jail on Thursday following his massive meltdown on Wednesday in the home that he shares with his estranged wife and fellow "RHOA" cast member, Phaedra Parks, TMZ reports.
On his arrival in jail on Thursday, Nida took to Twitter and Instagram to thank those who have supported him throughout his legal drama.
He also posted an Instagram video that included a similar message thanking his supporters. Check it out below.
Nida was originally scheduled to report to jail on Wednesday. However, in the words of TMZ, the convicted felon went "AWOL" on Wednesday and did not show up to jail. Instead, he had a massive fight with Phaedra Parks for refusing to put money in his prison account.
"What the f*ck is the matter with you," Nida yelled at Phaedra. "I don't give a f*ck about the police, call them, I dare you," he added as he forced his way inside the couple's home. [TMZ]
According to E! News sources, Nida's violent outbursts are all too familiar to Parks. This is not the first time the couple has argued over money.
"When he does speak to Phaedra, it's always about money," the E! News source said. "He owes a huge debt in restitution and he wants to know if she's going to help him with it. 'Are you going to give me money?' is always his question. He still wants her financial support."
Since Nida's eight-year jail sentencing, Parks has remained silent in the media regarding her husband's jail bid and his $1 million restitution penalty.
However, Parks' publicist came forward on Wednesday to announce that the reality TV mom "is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests." [CNN]
Her publicist said, "This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone's lives." [CNN]
