Chris Brown Hot New Song and Album: 'Drunk Texting' ft. Jhene Aiko Leaks Online [Listen]
Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated, much delayed sixth studio album "X," Chris Brown's "Drunk Texting" featuring Jhene Aiko was leaked online.
In the Mr. Franks and Tommy Brown-produced slow jam, the R&B duo sings in harmony about someone they just can't get their mind off of: "Said I'm all up in my feelings / Doubled up on this shot / Got me feeling some type of way told you I hate you I don't mean it."
"And the only thing that I got / Is the pain that you've been feeding / Faded, faded, faded, all because of you," they continue over the brass-heavy instrumental with guitar strums. "Now my current situation, trying not to think of you, not to break the rules / Why's it always happen, when I get this way? / Just can't stop myself, so baby tonight."
In the hook, the "Loyal" hitmaker and "The Worst" singer also talk about a habit they cannot resist doing: "I'm blowing up your line / I got you on my mind / And the truth is hard to find, so I'll be / I'll be drunk texting, drunk texting, drunk texting you."
The pair then admits to their late night dilemma. "I'm looking at my phone thinking / Am I gonna hit send or nah?" they croon.
The sensual track follows Brown's "Autumn Leaves" featuring Kendrick Lamar, in which he displays his emotional side with soulful lyrics about the struggles of moving on from a failed long-term relationship. "It seems that all the autumn leaves are falling / I feel like you're the only reason for it," Breezy sings the melancholy chorus. "All the things you do, all the things you, do all the things you do / It's safe to say you're the only reason for it."
Kendrick then jumps on the mellow beat, offering some wise advice. "When you make mistakes the most (the most) / One day it'll make you grow (you grow) / When you outlandish and you lose manners / To God you shall consult (consult)," K. Dot spits his moody verse.
"When the bright cameras are still cramming / In your face and it provoke (provoke) / You to act manic, just stay planted / 'Cause you reapin' what you sowed."
Chris Brown's forthcoming 21-track album "X," which will feature various guests including Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, R. Kelly, Akon and more, is set for a release on Sept. 16.
