English rock band, Pink Floyd recently announced the details for their new album, "Endless River" that will hit stores on November 10, Rolling Stone reports. 

In the official statement released by the remaining members of Pink Floyd, drummer Nick Mason revealed that the band's upcoming album is a tribute to their keyboardist Rick Wright who died in 2008. 

"The Endless River is a tribute to Rick. I think this record is a good way of recognizing a lot of what he does and how his playing was at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound. Listening back to the sessions, it really brought home to me what a special player he was," Mason explained. 

The band's decision to create a new album  came about during a listening session where Mason and Gilmour spent "over 20 hours" listening to past Pink Floyd records. 

"We listened to over 20 hours of the three of us playing together and selected the music we wanted to work on for the new album," Gilmour said in a statement obtained by Rolling Stone. "Over the last year we've added new parts, re-recorded others and generally harnessed studio technology to make a 21st century Pink Floyd album. With Rick gone, and with him the chance of ever doing it again, it feels right that these revisited and reworked tracks should be made available as part of our repertoire."

As Gilmour and Mason prepare for "Endless River's" official release date, they've begun teasing songs from the upcoming album online and have released the image of the album's sleeve art on Monday that was showcased in numerous leading cities including London's Southbank, as well as New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin and Milan, The Guardian reports.

According to The Guardian, the "Endless River" sleeve art -created by 18-year-old Egyptian digital artist, Ahmed Emad Eldin- "depicts a young man in open shirt punting across a sea of clouds towards the sun."
