'The Blacklist' Season 2 Episode Premiere Spoilers: Opener Gives Viewers Another Taste of Darkness
The Season 2 premiere of "The Blacklist" took a deeper look into the life of Raymond Reddington and gave viewers a twisted taste of evil.
The NBC spy-thriller brought to life a person who has a score to settle with Reddington, a man called Berlin who wants vengeance for the death of his daughter who he believes died at the hands of Reddington, MTV reported.
The episode begins with Reddington on a dirt road in Cameroon, as mentioned by Entertainment Weekly.
The premiere episode, titled "Lord Baltimore," takes a look at the hacker by the same name who is hired by Berlin to find out information on Reddington's wife, MTV reported.
The reason? Berlin is holding Reddington's ex-wife Naomi -- played by Mary-Louise Parker from "Weeds" -- who has not been in his life for 20 years.
Naomi has lived a normal quiet life until Berlin comes in, attempting to repay Reddington in the way he allegedly killed Berlin's daughter: in pieces.
SPOILER ALERT: By the end of the hour-long episode Berlin has sent Reddington a finger.
Lord Baltimore turns out to be a woman named Rowan Mills, played by "Breaking Bad" actress Krysten Ritter, but there's a twist.
Rowan isn't Rowan. Nora, Rowan's evil twin, killed Rowan and had a psychotic break, and is now inhabiting both personalities, MTV reported.
By the end, Rowan/Nora is in custody, but dealing with her has had a lasting impact on some.
But the new season doesn't begin without reaching into the end of Season 1.
Agent Meera Malik's death at the end of Season 1 lingers heavily throughout the season premiere, and some of her colleagues like Liz and Aram speak about her, while others like Ressler refuse to talk about it.
The season premiere does not disappoint for those who seek the darkness that "The Blacklist" has come to be associated with.
