In a recent interview with USA Today, "Taken" film star Liam Neeson talked about the third installment of the franchise and that it will be his final performance in this role.

Neeson said the latest chapter, titled "Tak3n," will likely be the end of the kidnapping-thriller saga.

"I think this is the end," Neeson said. Other than the announcement that Neeson isn't planning to reprise his role as Bryan Mills beyond three movies, he kept details of the film fairly vague, including if anyone actually gets taken.

"I have to go on the run, I'll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities," Neeson, 62, said. "Bryan Mills serves his country faithfully, but now even they are after him."

Also in the interview, Neeson said "Tak3n" wouldn't involve his character jet-setting to find the bad guys of the film.

"This time, no more traveling," the Irish actor said. "If my daughter was 'taken' again on a trip, Bryan Mills would have to be certifiably locked up for bad parenting."

"Taken" as a franchise has been wildly popular. According to Box Office Mojo, the two films from 2008 and 2012 brought in $285 million worldwide.

The 6-foot-4 actor and former amateur boxer said he enjoys the on-screen combat this roll calls for.

"Bryan Mills wants to fight quick, using the dirtiest moves possible to finish," he said. "It's not like, 'Put your fists up, fellow!' Why fight like that when you can kick someone in the kneecap and be done with it?"

Actor Forest Whitaker joins Neeson in the third "Taken," playing a law enforcement agent pursuing Mills in the movie.

"People are attracted to quiet heroes," Whitaker said of his co-star. "Liam's presence has that. He gives people a sense of comfort and security. And he's an excellent actor."
