Plans for WWE's next big event, Hell in a Cell (HIAC), are slowly falling into place for the October PPV that will be held at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas. Thus far, it is not looking like WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will compete in HIAC despite the controversial ending of Night of Champions.

HIAC will instead feature John Cena and it is looking like he will face Dean Ambrose, according to The Wrestling Observer. Both the winner and loser of the Cena-Ambrose bout will have Hell in a Cell cage matches later in the night, with the winner taking on Seth Rollins and the loser facing Randy Orton.

For the time being, "The Lunatic Fringe" is being pushed as the number two face in the company as plans keep shifting after the injury to Roman Reigns. Reigns is recovering from major emergency surgery due to an incarcerated hernia and will likely not return until the Royal Rumble. Reigns' push to headline WrestleMania 31 will still be in play despite his recent injury, with the expectation that he returns by the January pay-per-view even in the worst case scenerio.

Daniel Bryan, who is rehabilitating from major neck surgery, is expected to be back in time for the Royal Rumble as well and should be able to help bolster the roster as WrestleMania approaches. Batista is also rumored to return to ring action early next year and will likely not be available any sooner despite the rash of injuries to the roster. Batista is scheduled to begin filming "Bus 657," starring Robert De Niro, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kate Bosworth and Gina Carano, in October. Batista will play a bank robber involved in a heist targeting a casino owned by De Niro's character. Batista's next run with the WWE may be his retirement tour as he continues getting major Hollywood roles, including reprising his "Drax The Destroyer" in the "Guardian of the Galaxy" sequel and in "Avengers 3."

In NXT news, after making an appearance on Takeover: Fatal 4-Way, Hideo Itami, formerly known as KENTA, made his in-ring debut against Justin Gabriel during the September 18th taping of the NXT show that airs on the WWE Network, beating the South African high-flyer before he was ambushed by The Ascension.

That help set up the debut of Fergal Devitt during last Thursday's NXT taping, who will now go by the name Finn Balor, teaming up with Itami to face the former NXT tag team champions. Former Ring of Honor champion Kevin Steen is rumored to be making his debut at this week's NXT taping.

El Patron Alberto, known to WWE fans is Alberto Del Rio, will be making his return to United States under Mexico's AAA banner as a competitor in their new Lucha Underground television show set to air on El Rey Network. AAA has been very happy with their latest free agent signing, especially how he has handled himself after his controversial dismissal from the WWE after allegedly attacking an employee who made racist remarks about him.

The signing of El Patron Alberto gives the organization a familiar face to United States wrestling audiences as the Mexican company looks to expand into the North American market. Lucha Underground debuts on the El Rey Network with a two-hour special slated for Wednesday, Oct. 29.
