Mortal Kombat X is going to be gruesome, but the new style of gameplay and some plot twists are going to make this game more interesting than ever before.

First, we are flashing forward 25 years from the last Mortal Kombat game. This means many characters will start to show their signs of age but will still retain their wisdom.

Next, there are certainly going to be some new characters. Surely, classic characters will return from previous Mortal Kombat games but not all of them. Be on the lookout for some new characters to be up for the bloody challenges that await them.

Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon sure has been teasing the characters almost every day. He has been using Twitter to playfully hint at who may or may not make it into Mortal Kombat X. Screenshots from the game are very vague too. One of the screenshots shows the character selection screen. It shows that there are 24 characters to choose from, but only six are have any detail; the others are just silhouettes of the characters.

Boon made a tweet that recited some of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," and many are speculating this tweet means that Queen Sindel will make it into the game. Sindel was last seen in Mortal Kombat 9.

Of course with better graphics and technology, Mortal Kombat X is going to take full advantage. Three distinct fight styles will be given to you prior to entering your fights. This means that there will be more unpredictable fights and less complete annihilation when a stronger fighter faces a much weaker character.

Certainly, Mortal Kombat X will be one of the best fighting games out this year. Although it will not debut until April 15, 2015, there already is tons of excitement and chatter in the video game world about it. What do you think about Mortal Kombat X?
