'50 Shades of Grey' Update: Charlie Hunnam Won't Use Body Double When Shooting Sexy Scenes for 'Fifty Shades' Movie
Ever since Charlie Hunnam was chosen to play the Christian Grey role for the "50 Shades of Grey" film adaptation, he has always been under the eye of every fan of the erotic book series. And to excite them all the more, he has recently explained to AP that he won't use any body double in shooting the sexy scenes, The Stir reports.
It was The Sun who first spread the alleged rumor that the actor is willing to bare it all in the film. The good news for all fans is that eventually, the actor himself confirmed it. "I'm not worried," he added.
Even if doing things sexy and nude is not something new to the actor, he still considers the highly coveted role as a big challenge. The soon to be Mr. Grey in the movie explained in his own words:
"You know what, I had such a baptism of fire with regards to sexuality on camera at the beginning of my career. I starred in the British Channel 4 miniseries Queer as Folk, where I played a young, gay character, and there were some incredible, explicit sex scenes on that show. Now I am 16 years older and more mature so I don't anticipate them being too much of a problem. It's like anything else, just an exciting challenge."
This could probably be one of the main reasons why the big bosses behind the film decided to settle with the 33-year-old actor who is set to play opposite Dakota Johnson, who is to play Anastasia Steele.
IBTimes UK wrote that the "50 Shades of Grey" movie adaptation will be released in the U.S. by July 1, 2014.
