Marvel Avengers 2 'Age of Ultron' Spoilers, Characters & Cast News: Teaser on 'Guardians of the Galaxy' DVD, Blu-Ray, Director James Gunn Chimes in on Twitter
"Guardians of the Galaxy" is taking its Marvel aficionados on a rapid journey with sneak peak spoilers about the highly anticipated fim, "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron."
"The DVD and Blu-ray of the highest-grossing film of the year (in the U.S.) will feature an 'exclusive look' at 'Avengers 2,'" according to Variety.
According to HNGN, Marvel only released footage of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" to a few hundred fans who crammed into Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con in July.
What other details were revealed from the "exclusive look?"
Unfortunately, not much. Fans will have to stay tuned as there are no details on what the preview will actually feature.
"Like most Marvel Studios releases, the Blu-ray will include never-before-seen deleted scenes, making-of featurettes, audio commentary and a gag reel (including Ronan bloopers). In addition to the 'Avengers' preview, the DVD will only include a deleted scene," Variety reported.
Like Marvel's last movie, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," yet different than earlier Marvel releases, "the home video won't include a signature Marvel one-shot." "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn also addressed this on Twitter.
If you haven't seen "Guardians of the Galaxy," it's an "action-packed, epic space adventure that expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe," according to Marvel.
"To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits -- Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand -- with the galaxy's fate in the balance."
"Guardians of the Galaxy" will be released on Blu-ray 3D combo pack, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on Dec. 9.
