Maite Perroni may be a pro at touring the world, but she's never had to do it alone.

As part of the highly successful group RBD in the second half of last decade, Perroni is used to taking the stage and performing. This year will just be the first time she does it as a solo artist, notes People En Español.

Her Eclipse de Luna Tour will kick off in Mexico City on Nov. 6.

This has been a big year for Perroni, who is starring in "La Gata" and also released an album.

She will be singing "Vas a Querer Volver," which is the theme song for "La Gata," as well as some of her other hits.

It's definitely not bad for a woman who was once called boring.

"There have been different critiques throughout the years," she said. "Obviously, you make decisions and you learn. I remember when I started, many people said, 'No, Maite will never be the lead. She's super gray. She has no personality. When RBD is over, she will go to her house and nothing will ever happen.' Of course, it made me feel bad, but it was also a commitment to prove otherwise."

Instead of letting naysayers discourage her, Perroni decided to work harder.

She said she spent all her time trying to better herself in any way she could, and she finally reached a point where she could be the lead in telenovelas and be a solo artist.

For her album, she said that she went in a completely different direction and wanted to be riskier.

Of course, Perroni's going back into music after several years is also quite risky. She doesn't know if she will make more albums in the future, but with an upcoming tour, it's likely that she might give it a try.

"I am living my life day to day, and my intention in this moment is to share this album and to continue doing what I'm most passionate about, which is acting," she said. "We'll see what life has in store for me in the future."
