Elizabeth Berkley, Mario Lopez Show Off Their Tango Steps During 'Saved by the Bell' Reunion for 'Dancing With the Stars '
On Wednesday, many fans of 90s hit series "Saved by The Bell" were more than happy to see Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez reconnect with each other, during an extraordinary on-camera reunion at Universal Studios Hollywood.
From 1989 to 1993, during the four seasons of "Saved by the Bell," Berkley played the role of Jesse Spano while Lopez played the role of A.C. Slater. Although both characters were the complete opposite of each other, they also completed each other: Jesse helped Slater to focus more on school, while Slater helped Jesse to be more fun loving and adventurous like him. The romantic sitcom certainly was a huge part of American teenagers' lives, and the on-and-off relationship and teenage love stories between Jesse and Slater are reminisced by many up to this day.
Marking almost 20 years after the series finale of "Saved by the Bell," the 41-year-old actress and the 39-year-old entertainer finally got a chance to be reunited, showing off their impromptu tango dance routine during an "Extra TV" segment.
Elizabeth Berkley joined Mario Lopez, the host of "Extra TV" for an interview regarding her debut and current competition on "Dancing with the Stars" in Season 17. She visited the show with her pro dance partner and instructor Val Chmerkovsky.
Lopez, a "DWTS", Season 3 contestant, stole the spotlight, as he danced away with Berkley. He showed off his quick steps, twirled the leggy actress on the stage, and finished off by catching her back.
The long-awaited reunion was a great opportunity for the two ex-costars to catch up on their lives, and to share what they have in common: DWTS.
