Eminem New Album 2013 Cover Unveiled: Rapper Shows Off 'MMLP2' Cover Design
The cover artwork for 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' has finally been released.
'MMLP2' is the long-anticipated sequel to "the real slim shady" rapper's diamond-certified, sophomore major label album from 2000.
So much effort is evidently put into Eminem's new album; Aftermath Entertainment backer Dr. Dre, who produced six of 19 songs in the original album 'The Marshall Mathers LP,' has executive produced 'MMLP2.' Also, Def Jam Records co-founder and renowned producer Rick Rubin has contributed in making of Eminem's new upcoming album.
Dr. Dre, Eminem's hip hop mentor, has previous experiences in executive producing Eminem's solo albums in the past, as he did with 2010's Recovery.
Rick Rubin recently has worked with 2013's high-profile hip hop albums such as Kanye West's 'Yeezus,' as well as Jay-Z's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail.'
Eminem asked his followers on Twitter a trivia question, "What street did me & Mr. Porter live on together in Detroit when we were working as cooks at Gilbert's Lodge?" The first lucky person to answer correctly got a chance to first look at the official artwork for 'MMLP2.'
The artwork features his old house in Detroit: Eminem reminisces about his teenage years, growing up with his friend Mr. Porter, a rapper and a producer, with the black-and-white vintage photo. The artwork of Eminem's original 'MMLP' features the same house.
Eminem's eighth studio album 'MMLP2' is announced to be released on November 5, 2013, featuring his single "Berzerk," which is currently in its third week on the Billboard Hot 100, holding a #8 spot on the list.
