Lenovo has just announced the new Yoga tablet series and its Yoga laptop. The company has three units out, the Tablet 3, Tablet 2 Pro and its laptop, the Yoga 3 Pro. The tablets will run either on Android 4.4 Kitkat or Windows 8.1 operating systems.
Yoga Tablet 2 comes in 8-inch and 10-inch versions and both will have a 1920 x 1200 pixel screen. The units running on Android are already available and sold at around $249.99 for the 8-inch version and $299.99 for the 10-inch version. The version that runs on Windows 8.1 will be available around late October or early November. The unit with the 8-inch screen will sell for about $299 and the 10-inch version will be sold for about $399. All of them will have a Bluetooth-powered Accutype keyboard dock, which also doubles as the unit's cover.
All models of the Yoga Tablet 2 will have 1.33GHz, 2MB cache Intel Atom Z3745 processor, up to 64GB microSD support for its 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, a 1.6-megapixel front camera, an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2GB of RAM.
The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro is 13 inches in size. This will be available in late October and will have an approximate price tag of $499. The main feature of this tablet is the built-in Pico projector, an 8-watt sound system equipped with a subwoofer. It has a 13-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display, runs on the KitKat operating system and features an Intel Atom Z3745 Processor.
The Yoga 3 Pro laptop also has a 13-inch QHD+ (3200x1800 pixels) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It will be sold for about $1,349.99 when it hits the stores in late October. It has an Intel Core M 5Y70 Processor, Windows 8.1 64 or Windows 8.1 Pro 64 options, Intel HD Graphics 5300 and 8GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM. Buyers have the option to choose between a 256GB or 512GB solid state disk.
