Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera Feud News Update: Both 'The Voice' Judges Deny Fight Rumors
Christina Aguilera swears there is no feud between her and Adam Levine, according to Fox News.
Aguilera addressed the long-standing rumor that she and Levine had been feuding since Season 3 of the "The Voice," the hit television show on NBC. In an interview with TV Guide to promote Season 5 of the revolutionary singing competition, Aguilera said, "We're both very passionate, but it isn't personal with Adam. It never has been; We're just very strong personalities," according to Fox News.
The playful banter between Aguilera and Levine took on a somber, tense meaning when it was reported in 2012 that the two superstars had butted heads over contestant Tony Lucca, Aguilera's co-star in the All-New Mickey Mouse Club, according to She Knows.
Aguilera reportedly criticized one of Lucca's performances with undeserved intensity and vehemence, and Levine allegedly didn't like it one bit. The issue had gotten especially worse when one insider from "The Voice" confirmed that, "Adam also talks a ton of s*** about Christina and makes fun of her behind her back," the source told US Weekly.
However, both singers deny that a feud ever existed; with Levine even saying that the rumor is "BS," according to She Knows. Levine even expressed disgust over the rumor, saying that, "People shouldn't say those kind of things, because, f*** you! Come on guys, grow up! It pisses me off, and of course I have her back, of course I defend her. It's not nice to just have your bread and butter be trashing other people. That's bullying," he told WetPaint in October 2012, as reported by She Knows.
Christina Aguilera will be bringing in British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran as a mentor for Team Xtina for the battle rounds of "The Voice." Ceelo Green will also be returning to the show. The two coaches spent one season off from the singing competition, with Aguilera spending time in Rwanda with son Max for some United Nations charity work.
Seemingly refreshed and renewed, Aguilera even shared her newfound perspective of the show, according to the Christian Post. "The time off made me see more than ever that [the competition] isn't about it," she said, speaking of her rumored feud with Levine. "It's about the contestants," she quips.
