Amanda Bynes Hospital Update 2014: Star's Psychiatric Hold Extended for two Weeks; Britney Spears’ Former Manager to Help
Amanda Bynes' initial 72-hour psychiatric hold at the Las Enicas hospital in Pasedena last weekend has been extended for an additional two weeks, E! News reports.
Bynes was first hospitalized at Las Enicas hospital on Friday following a series of bizarre tweets she posted against tabloids and her father, along with her various antics throughout Los Angeles and New York City.

According to TMZ, Bynes' parents staged an ambush/intervention on their daughter on Friday. Bynes was initially under the impression that a car service would take her to the London Hotel. However, Bynes' parents had the car service take her to a "Pasadena hospital ... where their lawyer, Tamar Arminak, was waiting with doctors."
Britney Spears' ex-manager Sam Lufti also helped stage Bynes' intervention and forced hospitalization, People reports.
"It was touch and go whether the plan would work," says a People source. The source also added that currently, Bynes "is erratic and disconnected from reality."
Since enforcing hospitalization on their 28-year-old daughter, Bynes' parents have spoken out to People to say that they are "happy she's safe and that Amanda is finally getting some help."
However, TMZ reports that Bynes is furious with her parents for placing her on psychiatric hold and feels that her relationship with her family is "destroyed forever."
A TMZ source also claims that Bynes has had fits of anger and rage since being held at Las Enicas.
In addition to seeking help for their daughter, Bynes' parents are also seeking to reclaim their conservatorship over Bynes once she is released from treatment, TMZ reports.
However, Bynes' current hatred towards her family may prove to be a tremendous obstacle for her parents once she is placed under their supervision and care once again, claims a TMZ source.
