'Bones' Season 10 Episode 4 Spoilers and Recap: Booth and Aubrey Investigate Murder of Video Game Whiz in 'The Geek in the Guck' [Video]
While the first two episodes of "Bones" left TV fans in utter shock and grief over the sudden death of Dr. Lance Sweets, things will slowly get back to normal in the next all-new episode of the comedy-drama series.
The premiere of Season 10 of "Bones" kicked off with a shocking twist when Sweets died after being beaten to death by a trained assassin working to keep the FBI's conspiracy under wraps. Fans then said goodbye to the beloved psychologist in a heart wrenching funeral service in the second episode of the season.
The Jeffersonian seemed to begin adjusting to life without Sweets in last week's episode when they investigated the death of a conservative radio host with a freaky sex life.
The upcoming episode, which is titled "The Geek in the Guck," will be filled with twists and turns as the team looks into the murder of a video game whiz kid and people close to the victim start to turn on each other.
Laura Spencer will also guest star in the episode as Sweets' one-time love interest Jessica Warren.
According to Carter Matt, Fox released an official synopsis for "The Geek in the Guck," which states:
"The Jeffersonian team, with the help Special Agent James Aubrey (guest star John Boyd), investigate the murder of a video game designer whose remains were found washed up in a river. When the team uncovers more about the fortune the victim had acquired throughout his career, everyone who was close to him becomes a suspect. However, the investigation takes a turn when they discover that the victim was playing his own games on people. Meanwhile, "squintern" Jessica Warren (guest star Spencer) enlightens the team about the educational cooperative with which she has been involved and Brennan and Booth discuss Christine's future."
Other guest stars include Erik Stocklin as Noah Gummersall and Denyse Tontz as Chloe Blanchard/Alice Kelly.
The show also released preview photos that show Special Agent James Aubrey playing video games with someone and Booth and Aubrey chatting with each other, reports Hypable.com.
"Bones" airs Thursday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
