"Downton Abbey" star Michelle Dockery is a star in her own right, but the actress still gets star struck.

"Laura Carmichael [who plays Lady Edith Crawley] and I were at the Met Ball last year and Beyoncé told us she was a fan of the show," Dockery said in an interview with Express. "That was an amazing and strange experience."

Because of "Downton Abbey," which is currently airing its fifth season in Britain on iTV, Dockery said she's met people she never imagined she would.

"It's overwhelming when people who you've watched and admired for years, and who you wouldn't have ever dreamed of coming into contact with, come up to you to tell you how much they enjoy what you're doing and how much they love 'Downton,'" she said. "It's quite a surreal thing, actually."

Dockery even got to meet one of her role models in 2013.

"Edie Falco is one of my favorite actresses, and I met her at the Emmys last year and I could barely speak," she said. "She said she loved 'Downton.'"

In addition, the Lady Mary Crawley actress has met a slew of other A-list American celebrities, who are all fans of the historical fiction period drama.

"American producer JJ Abrams came on set to see what goes on behind the scenes, as did Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis," Dockery said. "Sandra Bullock is apparently a big fan. It's mad, really." 

Beyoncé and Bullock may soon be disappointed; however, rumor has it that "Downton Abbey" will end after Season 6. In 2012, creator Julian Fellowes signed a deal with NBC Universal to work on a show titled "The Gilded Age," another historical fiction drama, this time following New York's wealthy in the 1880s. Radio Times cited "sources" at NBC Universal, who say this may mean the show will end after Season 6. Fellowes has reportedly stated in the past that Season 5 will not be the last.
